Peptides

Short chains of amino acids linked together by chemical bonds. Peptides do not contain as many amino acids as proteins. Some peptides can be produced synthetically, and a few have been developed for medicinal use. These include collagen and creatine forming peptides purported to assist in building and repairing muscle tissue and peptides involved in the release of growth hormone which may be prohibited or illegal if used as performance enhancing drugs.
