Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point. HACCP is a management system applied to food safety which covers the analysis, monitoring and control of chemical, biological, and physical hazards through raw materials production, supply and handling as well as the equipment used, manufacture, distribution, and consumption of finished product. It is implemented by some horse feed manufacturers as an important part of their quality control and food safety systems. It is administered by HACCP Australia which provides consulting, auditing, and certification services. HACCP is an internationally recognized as helping to assure the production of safe foodstuffs.
